A resident of temperate forests in the Himalayas, the Scarlet Finch is found from Uttarakhand in India till the north east. I came across a flock early morning at a place called Mandal in Uttarakhand. The presence of other photographers disturbed the flock and I could not make any descent image till I singled out this guy which was busy feeding. When this shot was taken soft sunlight was on my subject and I could successfully blur the leaves around and made a frame I would love to live with.
