A lovely looking songbird of lower and mid level elevations found again in the Northern and Eastern Himalayas.  I had this lovely occassion to shoot this gorgeous male while he was calling for his female counterpart. Though the light was low as in most of the Himalayan Forests, I was lucky to get this one at eye level since almost in all my previous encounters with Maroon Orioles, I could see them always perching on high tree tops thus denying me the opportunity to make decent eye level images
